Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve
This is where it all begins, where you join us on the
first step of our journey together. You’ll meet your
friendly expert guide and we’ll get the formalities out
of the way quickly so that we can get out there and
start enjoying the safari you’ve been dreaming of.
You’re in for a really special safari experience on your
visit to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This is one of
the best places in Kenya to look for big cats. You may
see so many elephant, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle,
buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and hippo that you stop
noticing them after a while! And these are just the
start: watch for the reserve’s population of black
rhino, which are present in the Mara Triangle
although they can be pretty hard to spot. Beautiful
savannah grasslands, acacia trees, distant
escarpments and more than 500 possible bird
species are other highlights you can look forward to.
Evening Game Drive, Masai Mara National Reserve
You’ll love the warm light and cooler temperatures as
we take you out to explore on your evening game
drive. This time of day is when both predators and
prey are most active and it can feel as though
anything could happen at any moment. This is when
you’ll most enjoy being on safari.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park
The time you spend in Lake Nakuru National Park is
sure to be memorable. The park is most famous (and
rightly so) for how easy it is to see black and white
rhinos here, as well as the populations of lions
(including some that, unusually, like to climb trees) and
endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. You’ve also a chance
of seeing flamingos, leopards and plenty of birds. You
might also fall in love with the pretty combination of
lake, acacia forest and dramatic escarpment.
Day 4: Hell’s Gate National Park
Exploring Hell’s Gate National Park is a chance for you to do something a little different.
That’s because there are no predators here and you’re allowed to get out of your vehicle, unlike in other Kenyan parks. You might
see zebra, giraffe, impala, buffalo and rock hyrax, but
the real attraction is the scenery, with red cliffs, dramatic rocky outcrops and a narrow gorge for you to climb through.
Day 5 & 6: Amboseli National Park
Amboseli may be smaller than many other Kenyan
parks, but it packs a lot into a very small space. For starters, the views here are astonishing because Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), looms over the park to the south. Best of all, the mountain provides a backdrop to many fantastic wildlife sightings that almost always include elephants with big tusks, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests and gazelles. Birders can also look for the park’s 420 different recorded species.
Day 7: Final day with us
It’s a pity that it has to end, but this is where your safari
will draw to a close. We’re sure that you will return
home with so many exciting and happy memories, and
we hope that you will join us again on safari sometime
in the future.
