Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya and drive to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve
Welcome to Magical Kenya! After finalizing with customs and immigration clearing, we shall be transferred from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. This is one of the best 5-6 hours on the roads because it involves stops at the viewing platform that overlooks the breathtaking Great Rift Valley Escarpments as well as Narok Town for lunch. After successfully checking in and settling in at the Safari Camp/Lodge, feel free to turn your roving eye outside and relish the breathtaking views of the savannah plains.
Day 2: The Masai Mara National Reserve.
Enjoy breakfast and embark on the safari vehicle for a game drive through the spectacular landscapes of this stunning Protected Area where Mother Nature brings out its best in terms of animals and birds. Picnic lunch will be at the Hippo Pool where delicious food is spiced by views of Crocodiles and Hippos. The African bush elephants, wildebeests, bushbucks, gazelles, warthogs, zebras, Masai giraffes, bushbucks, Cape buffaloes, duikers, yellow baboons, Jackals, lions, Rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, and so much more. In the evening pay a courtesy visit to Masai Community to learn about the culture and traditions that make them stand out.
Day 3: From the Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park
Head out for a morning game drive through the Mara plains with more sights and sounds of animals, prior to leaving for Lake Nakuru National Park with a lunch box in hand. Relish the jaw-dropping landscapes that constantly change along the way, in addition to the far-flung views of Mount Longonot as well as Lake Nakuru. Animals start receiving you from the Park entrance gate until your place of lodging. Dinner is at the Lodge, in the company of other travellers.
Day 4: Stunning Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha
Lake Nakuru National Park shelters a number of Masai giraffes, Black Rhinos, white rhinos, Hippos, Cape buffaloes, baboons, warthogs, Impalas, bushbucks, leopards, African wild dogs, wildebeests, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, wildebeests and lions which will be encountered during the game drive. First have breakfast then drive through this exceptional Protected Area with a picnic lunch before leaving for Lake Naivasha, another unmissable safari destination in Kenya. Dinner and slumber is at the best Safari Lodge.
Day 5: The beautiful Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
Savour with the most delicious breakfast and start the journey to Amboseli National Park, via the picturesque Hell’s Gate National Park. Here, you will have a guided hike through the stunning Gorges. However, there is an optional Bike ride available for travellers to this Park, after which leave for your final destination through the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway. After a sundowner game drive, dinner and rest will be at the exquisite Safari Lodge.
Day 6: The Amboseli National Park safari
Having enjoyed breakfast at the Safari Lodge in Amboseli National Park, visitors head out on a guided game drive through this small but spectacular Protected Area where the free-ranging elephants are spotted at the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Besides the elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, lions, baboons, bushbucks, greater kudu, duikers and many others will also be seen during the game drive with a chance to have a picnic lunch. Get the chance to visit the nearby local village and dine, rest at the Safari Lodge.
Day 7: Drive from Amboseli National Park to Arusha Town via Namanga Border crossing
Grab some breakfast and head out by 6:00 am into the Amboseli wilderness to watch large schools of hippos as well as herds of elephants reluctantly grazing across the savannah plains. Exit the Park towards Namanga border and continue to Arusha Town.
Day 8: From Arusha Town to incredible Lake Manyara National Park
Get treated to a delicious breakfast before having a briefing with your safari driver and leaving for your first Tanzanian safari destination during our 14 days Kenya and Tanzania safari. Arrive in the morning and there and then take a game drive with a picnic lunch at hand. While this Park is known for tree-climbing lions and pink flamingos, there are also giraffes, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, leopards, lions and African wild dogs among others.
Day 9: Drive from Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
Enjoy breakfast and leave the Camp for a proper breakfast with views of almost half the Park’s wildlife species. Enjoy photography during this drive and exit the gate for the popular Serengeti National Park. The 6 hour’s drive comes with breathtaking views of the largest wildlife concentration before eating and resting at the Safari Camp.
Day 10: The Serengeti National Park safari
The Safari Camp is responsible for providing breakfast and your private safari driver leads you to Central Serengeti where the Great annual migration (with wildebeests, gazelles and zebras) as well as views of big five animals (Rhinoceros, lions, Cape buffaloes, leopards and elephants) alongside other animals. There will be a stop at the stunning Grumeti River where a high concentration of Crocodiles and Hippos are seen. Continue with the game drive after picnic lunch until evening when the best sunset views are relished. Lesser kudu, spotted hyenas, Aardvarks, African wild dogs, cheetahs, olive baboons, Mongoose, tree hyraxes and others are seen during the full-day game drive.
Day 11: The Drive from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
With your lunch box, camera and binoculars leave for the game drive to witness different animal activities involving Olive baboons, black-backed jackals, vervet monkeys, cheetahs, Grant’s gazelles, African wild dogs, leopards, Kongoni, Rhinos and impalas, then in the afternoon tour the magnificent Olduvai Gorge.
Day 12: The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tour, drive to Tarangire National Park
After a good night’s sleep and breakfast at the Safari Camp, have another chance to explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area for its blue wildebeests, cheetahs, lions, Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, warthogs, spotted hyenas, leopards, lions, Hippos, giraffes, bushbucks, duikers and African wild dogs at the Ngorongoro Crater. Spend some quality time at this beautiful area and drive out towards Tarangire National Park.
Day 13: Half day tour and drive to Arusha Town
A proper game drive through Tarangire National Park makes it possible to unearth the different animals that roam around Tarangire River banks and the savannah plains of the Park. Have you ever seen a lot of elephants in a single place? This is what to expect in this Park, together with buffaloes, giraffes and so much more. Drive through the Park for 3-4 hours and leave for Arusha Town, drop-off to one of the best Hotels.
Day 14: Departure via Arusha Airport or Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Nairobi
Check-out is in the morning and this is followed by a drive to Arusha Airport, for a flight back home or Nairobi City. This brings our 14 days Kenya and Tanzania safari.
